The key is organization. I have envelopes, stamps, and return address labels ready to go when I find a rebate. The other day, my grocer had BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) on a new Windex spray which was a good offer by itself but also in the weekly coupon flyer was a rebate for one bottle of Windex up to $4.99. Not only that, I also used a coupon on the Windex that I purchased -- cost of both bottles: FREE.
It took only a minute to gather the receipt, the UPC, the rebate form (mfg. only needed my name and address) and I just dropped it in the mail -- mfg will send a check for $4.99. Trust me, these rebates add up.
Hopefully, this post is getting you motivated to save and to make you think about how you are spending your hard earned money.
