Last Christmas, I purchased two $25 gift certificates for $3 each for a restaurant in Valdosta, GA. I gave them to my brother who was coming home for a visit. I knew we would have large family gatherings and that the $25 off would help when we dined out.
I have visited several restaurants that participate in this program. Restaurant owners' must register with Restaurant.com to participate. One particular owner mentioned that he prefers the gift certificate be presented upon arrival so that while the customer is dining, they call the 800 number on the certificate to process and verify it. This saves time and keeps the customer from waiting when they are ready to pay their bill. Most certificates are for dine in only and excludes alcohol. There may be other restrictions that apply and it varies by restaurant. As long as you read the restrictions, you will not have any problems.
