Booty's Brownies

2 bittersweet chocolate squares
2 semi-sweet chocolate squares
2 sticks butter – has to be Land O lakes
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs blended
1 cup flour
2 cups pecan halves

Melt chocolate and butter in a double broiler – remove from heat, add sugar and vanilla. When cooled, add eggs and then flour. Mix in the pecans. Bake at 325 degrees for 44 minutes. Remove from oven – place in freezer immediately. Take out of freezer after one hour and remove from pan. Place in ziploc and put back in freezer until ready to serve.

You have to follow this recipe exactly and you will have the best brownies ever. Serve with vanilla ice cream!

Thanks Danya

  1. Is this the original recipe? My co-worker has been looking for the contact info for this company for like 10 years.

  2. A friend shared the recipe with me and before that, I never heard of the brownies. From reviews they are out of this world good and fudgy. Not sure if this is the recipe for the original version but my friend loves this recipe. I found this information and maybe they can help you.

  3. This is not the original recipe. booty's brownies came originally from an Atlanta lady called Bootsie and she shared her recipe with a few close friends including Booty. Her friends, including my mother, all promised not to share the recipe as long as Bootsie was alive. Booty started making and selling them after her death.

  4. Thanks Margaret - this recipe was passed on to me and this was the first I ever heard of them. Several people inquired if it was the original recipe and I of course did not know. Thanks for response and I guess the recipe is still held close to the heart.
