• Coupons, Inc. and Simmons Market Research showed that the number of Americans using online coupons grew from 26 million to 36 million from 2005 to 2008 (with almost half of those users age 22-44).
  
  
• Scarborough Research study revealed that internet coupon use increased 83 percent from 2005 to 2008 (and 11 percent of U.S. households were using them).

I have not seen a study for 2009, but don't you know that the numbers are even higher.

Finally A Good Deal on My Dog Food

Princess Run Run is very picky about her food. For some reason she just wants to eat Beneful and only Beneful. I happened to look in the Publix flyer and notice that they are running a B1G1 deal on this dog food. I was so excited.

I can finally use the catalina I have for $2 off Beneful. Check and see if you have one floating around. This is really a good deal considering how many years I paid full price.

I guess I should also check to see if Publix has an in store coupon and stack them. Either way, half off is better that nothing.

Our family recently switched from the PC World to the "Mac" World. We purchased three Apple MacBook Pro Laptops and it is the best purchase I have ever made.


I have had nothing but problems with my PC in the twelve months I have owned it and am just about ready to ditch it.

Here is an easy, easy appetizer I put together for my family occasionally. It brings back fond memories of our time together in Italy. If you like cantaloupe and you like prosciutto, try it.

Slice a sweet chilled cantaloupe into cubes and wrap prosciutto around a cube (use toothpick to hold together). The sweet flavor of the fruit collides with the salty taste of the prosciutto. Gustoso!

Have you ever dropped something down the drain and had the expense of taking the drain trap off. Well I have. Most recently curler pins, but this time I did not call a plumber. I was in a wait and see mode - never got the pins back but sink still working. Better not elaborate too much in case my husband reads this post.

No need to worry any more. Dell just sent me this link to FamilyHack (a familyblog) where the father demonstrates via video using a shop vac and pantyhose to get an item out of the drain trap. Pretty cool. Makes me almost want to drop something down the drain to see if it works.

Book Sale

Update on Book Sale:

Today, my daughter and I went to the book sale. I thought it was supposed to be a small sale but there were so many books, I could have spent hours. My daughter found about 8 books in twenty minutes and I was still on the first table. Needless to say, I did not get to spend hours as she was ready to go.

We filled up a box of books and walked away spending only $20. Hardback books were $1.50 and paperback were .50. I would rather spend $1.50 on the Davinci Code than $18! We have enough books to keep us busy all summer. Now I just have to find some quite time to read so I can finish Twilight series and move on to all the other great books.

The sale is still going on tomorrow so stop by and support the library.

I have to mention an upcoming book sale. I know many of you don't live in my area but just want to make a small post for those that do. I love the library book sales and could spend hours browsing through all the titles. I have picked up some good finds of recent best sellers for next to nothing -- the prices are very reasonable.

Friends of the Brunswick Library will hold an impromptu book sale this Friday and Saturday. There will be lots of children and young adult titles available.
