I learned about
Blog Carnivals at
5 Minutes For Mom and was inspired to start a carnival. It sounds like a lot of fun and I just could not find a carnival that catered to all the interests that I share with so many of you.
So with
Savings With Sadie the "Carnival of Savings" is born and Savings With Sadie is hosting the 1st Edition and is looking for bloggers to take a turn at hosting the site as well as bloggers interested in posting submissions for the carnival.Besides the fun of hosting a carnival and all the great tips you receive, by acting as a host and/or linking your post, you have the opportunity to meet new bloggers that have the same interests that you do. Since this is a new carnival, I have not set the schedule for weekly or monthly. I listed it as ongoing but first edition is scheduled for release July 15 if all goes well. Submission deadline will be July 14.
Initially, we will publish approximately every four weeks. The goal eventually will be to publish every two weeks and to set up a schedule of hosts.

Carnival of Savings "topics" include general savings tips as well as savings in the following areas:
Grocery Tips
Couponing
Retail Savings
Gardening Tips/Savings
Travel Tips/Savings
Restaurant Savings
Household Savings Tips
Consignment Tips
Garage Sale Tips
Budgeting
If you are a Treasure Hunter, you may even make a post to share your favorite flea market, antique store, and great deals found.
Important Note If You Are Interested in Hosting The Carnival of Savings:
Email submissions for the edition you are hosting will automatically be forwarded to you. The host will only need to cut and paste the submission links - no need to type it up and link - it is all done for you. You may even comment by adding an intro for each submission if you like but it is not necessary. You might comment on one or two.
The carnival will be a large post on your site, depending on the number of submissions. We want The Carnival of Savings to be a fun informative site.
As a host, you have the option to be the lead post if you choose to submit a tip. It is not necessary that you submit a post since you are hosting the carnival and taking the time to put the edition together. It should not take more than an hour or two of your time to do this. That will depend on you.
If you are not interested in hosting but would like to submit a post to the carnival: Follow in 3 Easy Steps:
To submit a post for consideration to the Carnival of Savings, click on the submit button below. You will not actually be submitting the content but just the permalink.
Where is says "Carnival" and example, click on the drop down and scroll up a good bit and select "carnival of savings." Once selected, enter your permalink to your post and a brief comment and that is it.
